Sinopse :

No interior da Austrália, na virada do século 19, Edward “Ned” Kelly é um jovem imigrante irlandês cujo principal sustento é o trabalho no campo com sua família. Aos poucos, a família Kelly começa a prosperar e a chamar a atenção dos oficiais da lei sobre Ned, o homem mais velho do clã desde a morte de seu pai. No entanto, o dia em que seus cavalos amanhecem roubados, o acerto de contas traz a Ned sérios problemas com toda a polícia. Acusado de ferir um policial que tentava abusar de sua irmã, Ned Kelly foge e é notificado de que prenderam sua mãe em seu lugar. Este será o ponto máximo da injustiça contra a qual se revolta. Junto com o irmão Dan e os amigos Hart e Joe, Ned Kelly passa definitivamente à clandestinidade. Agora, não demorará muito para Edward “Ned” Kelly e seu bando se tornarem os homens mais procurados da Austrália, numa história real que o transformou em uma das maiores lendas de seu país.
